Senior Pastor, Flora First Christian Church

Flora First Christian Church has been serving our community for more than 100 years in the Stone-Campbell Restoration tradition, including the weekly celebration of Communion. We are located in a farming community in north central Indiana. We believe that part of the work in living out the Great Commission is to reach out to those in need and offer compassion and assistance as we share the Good News of our Savior. We support our community through cooperation with other churches in order to live out that Commission.

We believe in the sovereignty of God (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) over all creation. We believe Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God (Matthew 16:16), who died on the cross and was resurrected, bodily, from the grave, walked with his believers, before ascending into Heaven, He will one day return to judge all persons. We believe the Holy Spirit is here on earth, working in our hearts and minds when biblical truth is taught and the Gospel proclaimed.

We are seeking a full time pastor who can proactively lead us through inspiration of the Holy Spirit, nurture the believing, and inspire them to take God’s Word to the unbelieving.  We are a worshipping congregation of 60-75, with more older than younger members and a desire for growth.

Our church is led by the Board of Elders and Board of Directors, with functional committees for the daily church life.  One of our key ministries is a Preschool program with 25 students.
